1. Quick wipe down stove, kitchen counter/sink, bathroom sink, faucets, toilet.
2. Rinse bathtub and shower
3. Close windows.
4. Vacuum by front door if there are a lot of pine needles etc tracked in.
5. Vacuum or sweep kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms if there is visible crumbs, dirt, etc.
6. Put away anything that looks like food. Bears will supposedly look in windows and can recognize a package of oreos.
7. Replace staples (dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, ...) or if you are strapped for time send e-mail to the next person so they can pick them up on the way up.
8. Wash bathroom mats if dirty. OK to leave in dryer.
9. Empty fire pit thingy on deck an place on side so it doesn't collect rain
10. Lock our personal cabintes.
11. Leave a mostly empty shelf or two in the pantry for the next user.

Turn elect heaters off
Set thermostat on gas htr. to 52
Turn water heater to vacation
bthrm thermost to 1
doors to laundry & bthrm open
clean perishables in refrig
empty garbage
empty washer & dryer (or make arrangements with next party to handle it)
lights off
lock kitchen cabnets & closets
lock doors, garage, guest house
If necessary:
 fill firewood box
 close  storm windows
