Silver dollars are 90% silver and 10% coper.
The bullion value of a silver dollar if it were melted down is about $17, but
the cost of extracting the pure silver would make it restrictive to melt it down.
Silver dollars have collector value.
The 1882 Morgan silver dollar I have is worth $87.
