Don's Home Technology Character Sets ANSI Characters 128-255 Contact
Following are the special characters (128-255) for the ANSI Character set.
You can represent them in HTML files as &#[decimal-code]; (e.g. '¢' for '¢') or with Entity Ref. codes e.g. © for ©

The ANSI characters are generated with HTML entity reference coding (&#xxx;) where xxx is the decimal code, which should work in most browsers while the default code contains the actual 8-bit character which may display in a default character set depending on the browser and operating system. Most browsers now display the ANSI character but if you save the file and open it with a text editor
