TV VCR DVD instructions

Watch TV

• Push the power button on the Sony remote - Green lite will come on.
  It will take about 5 seconds for the TV to power up.
• If you see antenna/cable icon in the upper left you are ready for TV.
• If you see "No Signal" in the lower right you need to call the Cable company - SuddenLink (see the notes page)
• If you see HDMI 1 you need to:
  • Press the input button (upper left hand on remote)
  • Press up arrow (top of ring on remote) to go to TV
• Select your Channel with + or - CH buttons
  Or type the number on the numeric pad. Digital channels will usually be the number + .1, e.g. 25.1 for CNN.

Channel Listing:
You can go to the Menu > Settings > Channel from your remote.
Then select "Label Channels" or "Show/Hide Channels"
or do it from the Internet:
We have Basic and Extended Basic from SuddenLink.

DVD:
Set TV to HDMI 1 (Input button)
Use Toshiba remote for DVD
Press open/close on upper left of remote to open tray.
Close and press play button

Add new digital channels:
On the remote select Menu > Settings (down arrow on ring) > Channel >
  Add Digital Channels (right arrow, then down arrow, then + on ring)
It says it could take up to 50 minutes, but only takes a few minutes.
One report said this didn't work and you had to use Auto Program, which would erase labels,
however both automatically put in standard labels and most people don't add their own.
