Three new things:
 0. Original bulletin 1 that is still pertinent
 1. Replacement for Sunday's email
 2. More information on showers near the packers station
 3. Who's interested in an overnight at Desolation Lake 3.5 mi. each way and
     1,000 ft elevation gain.
Original Message:
Attached are copies of the trip roster (excel format and html[web] format). You should feel comfortable communicating with each other before the trip, about car pooling and/or tent sharing.
Let me know of any corrections I need to make.
The roster is not on the web site for personal privacy reasons.

Attached also is a Equipment List.

The trip officially beings at 6:30 AM Sunday August 1 at the Packer's station near North Lake. Directions on the main page (https://donsnotes.com/sierraclub/outings/humphreys_basin-bc/index.html
We recommended you meet up at 5 PM, Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Packers Station 30 min up CA-168 from Bishop.
We'll go into Bishop (30 min. drive) for a group dinner (dutch) and come back to the packers station where we'll camp at 9,000 ft to get acclimatized.
If you prefer to stay at one of the nearby resorts you will need to make your own reservations.
See the Q&A page (https://donsnotes.com/sierraclub/outings/humphreys_basin-bc/QandA.html) for a lodging list.

1. Revision to original bulletin 1 night.

Some participants have transferred to other trips so I'm attaching an updated roster. I got a old equipment list which indicated you had to carry some commissary equipment; You do not.

The 30 pound weight limit is what you can load on the mules (in duffel bags, 36" max.) You can cary whatever you want in your daypack/backpack.

I've attached new lists and updated the web pages:
donsnotes.com/sierraclub/outings/humphreys_basin-bc/equip_list.html

2. Pay showers:

The Bisop Creek Lodge and Creekside RV Park, (760) 873-4483, 1949 South Lake Road, Bishop, CA about 7 miles from the packer station, offer pay showers.

3. Let Jim and I know if you are interested in an optional overnight at Desolation Lake about 3.5 mi one way and 1,000 feet elevation gain. It affects our meal planning. It means you will need a larger pack because the mules will be gone and you'll have to carry your tent, sleeping bag and some commissary equipment.

I updated the Question and Answer page to reflect 1. and 2. donsnotes.com/sierraclub/outings/humphreys_basin-bc/QandA.html

PS: Call or email me if you need another copy of the roster or can read either of the formats attached. We don't publish it on the web.
