The idea that the three sons of Noah represented the eponymous ancestors of three major racial or linguistic groups. According to this interpretation, Ham was the ancestor of the dark\0x2011skinned peoples of Africa, Shem of the Hebrews and their various cognates, and Japheth the ancestor of the Medes, Persians, Greeks, and other peoples who, many centuries later, came to be known as Aryans. The total implausibility of such a theory, in the face of the historical, linguistic, archaeological, and ethnographical evidence, did not prevent its survival until the nineteenth century among scholars, and for very much longer among non-scholars.

A DNA study of Jews and Palestinian Arabs (including Bedouins) found that these were more closely related to both each other than to people of the Arabian peninsula, Ethiopian Semites (Amharic and Tigrean speakers), and the Arabic speakers of North Africa.
However, the term "anti-Semite", however, came by a circuitous route to refer to one hostile or discriminatory towards Jews in particular.

Jewish Diaspora and Occupation of the Holy Land, a timeline

Abraham's son "Ishmael's descendants settled in the area from Havilah to Shur, near the eastern border of Egypt, as you go toward Ashur."
[[Genesis 25:18]
Ishmael was born around 2080 BC

This is important in determining whether Muhammad, father of Islam, who came from Yemen was decended from Ishmael. See Munammad's lineage.

From the above map we see all the tribes which settled in the southern Arabian Peninsula were from Joktan, while Abraham and Ishmael were from Peleg.

Median and Persian Achaemenid Empires 550 BCE

Between the 8th and 6th century B.C.E the Achaemenids were subordinate to the Assyriana and Medes, the two big powers of the ancient Near East.
In 550 B.C.E. the Achaemenids, led by Cyrus II the Great, overthrew the Median overlordship and founded the first Persian Empire.

Scythia was an area in what is now southern Russia between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea between 600 BC and 100 AD. Scythians were nomads who also went westward into what is now Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Poland. A group may have also gone to northern Egypt.

They were wealthy and somewhat cultured.

Some of the descendants of Scythian rulers migrated to Galicia (Spain) (1,800 BC - 1,700 BC), then Ireland Ireland (1,700 BC - 500 AD) and Scotland (500 AD). Some analysts say that Scotland got its name from Scythia, others say it came from the wife of one of the rulers (daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh) named Scota.
