Emergency Scene and Injury Assessment Checklist from FosterCalm

Initial Survey:

(ABCDE)
  Airway
  Breathing
  Circulation (severe bleeding)
  Disability- level of Consciousness (LOC):
     Awake, Verbal response, Pain response, unresponsive (AVPU) 
  Exposure - Expose areas of potential injury, and protect from the environment (keep warm)
If there was a Significant Mechanism of Injury (MOI)
  [Fall from height, high speed collision, altered mental status, ...,] then
  Stabilize the spine.
  Check for and for pupils equal, round react to light (PERRL).
  Check for Circulation, Sensation and Motion (CSM) in the extremities
    (Also called PMS - Pulse, Motion, Sensation)
